About Me 👩🏻‍🏫

I am a passionate Physics teacher dedicated to inspiring curiosity and scientific thinking. My classroom emphasizes hands-on experimentation, critical reasoning, and making physics concepts accessible and exciting for all learners.

My Teaching Philosophy 🎓

I believe students learn Physics best when they explore, question, and experiment. My approach integrates real-world examples, guided inquiry, and collaborative lab work. Science is not memorization. It is discovery.

My Books 📚

I coauthored the ACSL Elementary Division Guide book with my husband. This is a study guide and textbook for the students in the ACSL after-school STEM club.

I helped my husband write the Number Systems Practice Exercises book. This is a comprehensive resource for students learning about different number systems, including decimal, binary, octal and hexadecimal.

We have other books in progress, so please come back later.

American Computer Science League (ACSL) 👨‍💻

My husband and I have coached American Computer Science League (ACSL) teams every year since 2019. This involves teaching Computer Science math and helping students prepare for competitive programming. Higher divisions also help students develop their problem solving skills.

This year, we are coaching three teams - ACSL Junior division, ACSL Intermediate division, and ACSL Senior division.

FIRST LEGO League Coach 🤖

I have also been a successful FIRST LEGO League coach for many years, leading teams to regional and state championships. This year 2025-2026, my team won the Virginia Regionals and advanced to the State championship. I enjoy mentoring students in robotics design, programming, and teamwork, fostering their passion for STEM through hands-on learning and competition.
